Meet Michael T. McKibben: The True Inventor of Social Networking

Facebook's attorney stole his code and the rights to it. His story needs to be broadcast far and wide.

Michael T. McKibben founded Leader Technologies Incorporated in 1997 with headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Just coming off of a project for ATT, Michael led the re-development of their Windows messaging system in cooperation with ATT Bell Labs. He had a vision for a new kind of web-based communications platform that would overcome the "data silo" problem that has plagued communications technologies, sometimes called collaboration technology.

This vision included how technology would be used in the future to support two key organizational values: leadership and intellectual capital retention. He determined that these three value propositions could be united into a single, scalable web platform, and Leader was born.

With a team of 20 engineers, Michael invented the entire social media platform that we know today, including the most popular apps. This invention was stolen and remains the largest criminal invention court case in history. Through this process, Mr. McKibben uncovered and documented the evidence of a history of corruption far larger than he ever expected.
